Camino de Santiago Gran Canaria; Day 2 Ayaguares to San Bartolome.

Days 2 Ayaguares to San Bartolome de Tirajana.

Day 2 was tough, all up and down to San Bartoleme de Tirajana.

There are two Santiago Churches on this Camino and both, by Papal Decree offer the same plenary indulgences as Santiago de Compostela in passing through the Holy Doors making this a particularly perfect Camino for serious sinners like me. One is at the end in Galdar but the other is here in San Bartolome.

Our life is a pilgrimage to God the Father

Once again I could not find accommodation as the only AirB&B room was full. So I hitched ahead to the lovely village of Tejeda and had a beautiful room at Casa Rural Alojamiente with views of the valley and mountains. The down side was that it was down into the valley requiring a walk up of 1.2K tomorrow morning.

Tejeda.
