Going much shorter distances compared to our Camino de Santiago walks but who cares.

It is quite nice to go at an easy pace in no hurry.

We met another pilgrim coming from the other direction today; 70 year old Maria Teresa from Milano, an artist who now lives in London. We sat together and chatted for an hour. She is doing a project and asked is some questions about our nomad lifestyles. Then she drew caricatures of our faces and took a photo of us holding her small drawings in front of our faces hiding our actual faces. Lively, interesting stop.

Wonderful hosts Jean Baptiste and Colette at Gite Ferme des 2 tilliels in Amettes. Jean Baptiste is a third generation carrier pigeon keeper. He has had one return from Barcelona. Colette put on a beautiful dinner in an extremely cozy dining room.

Enjoyed the tour by their grandson Gabriel.
