Companionship on The Camino!

Perhaps the most heartwarming sights on The Camino are seeing people enjoying the companionship. Voita and Marketa from the Czech Republic:

Asa and Hillevi from Sweden:

Mother ( Cathy ) and daughter Kim from Texas arm in arm:

One of my favorite mornings early on just a few days out of Le Puy I was walking on a warm sunny day early in the morning and came upon this family of 7 including two infants on their parents back. The mom told me that they were doing 10 days a year or the Camino and hoped to get to Santiago in 15 years. I bid them a Bon Chemin (Buen Camino) and as I was walking away the all started singing the beautiful French Camino song “Ultreia”:

Bon Chemin/Buen Camino!
