Vercelli to Mortara:

We are in a quiet, less impressive natural part of VF but it still has its moments.

About a half hour out of Vercelli we really enjoyed meeting and talking with Carla (young farmer girl) on instagram. She made these cool signs and greets pilgrims walking by her farm. Such a nice gesture!

The Abbey in Mortara has 12 beds normally but with Covid only offers 3 so we could not join our Italian friends.

However, for the second time this week we stayed in an Albergo ( basically a restaurant with some rooms) and enjoyed sitting out front in the street slowly downing a half litre of wine, porcini mushroom risotto and roast duck and steak.
