Days 68-69: Florence to Altopascio to Ponte dei Medici:

After a day of relaxing in Florence and a fabulous dinner including Chianina beef we returned to the Via Francigena and spent the night at Ostello Ponte dei Medici.

The hostel is on the bridge offering views up and down river. And so quiet!

The wonderful dinner required a splurge up to a Reserva Chianti which was hands down the best bottle of wine so far in Italy.
