Seemed like a good day to take a rest day in the hometown of Dulcinea.

The Cervantes Museum with over 700 editions in many languages of a single book. You guessed it; Don Quixote by Cervantes. Interesting dignitaries signing some; Nelson Mandela, Adolph Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Margaret Thatcher and an Irish Edition signed by Eamon de Valera.

After all that education we visited Campos de Dulcinea Winery for a tasting. Surprisingly we learned La Mancha is by far the biggest wine producing region of Spain.

All Campos de Dulcinea wines are all organic, with the grapes picked by hand.
The Sauvignon Blanc was crisp with a hint of grapefruit. The Rose was different with a strong strawberry scent but not sweet. The red was 100% Tempranillo. Outstanding. All the wines were excellent.

I am a believer in La Mancha wine! Beyond Rioja there are many fine wine regions. Ribeira Sacra,, Ribera del Duero, and now La Mancha. Looking forward to further exploration.
