Beautifal morning leaving Lake Viverone and Alberto’s Camping La Rocca.
The artwork at the churches today was impressive to say the least.
Barbara and Selene will soon be teachers and they gave me a lesson on grated cheese. I grew up in Chicago where we had a Kraft green can of grated Parmesan Cheese. Fresh Italian is a wee bit better.
Here in Italy Barbara explained they usually use different grated cheeses by region:
Parmiggiano (Parmesan) reggiano
Parma (Emilia Romagna) Grana padano
North Italy (Pianura padana: a group of regions)
Centre-south Italy Ricotta affumicata Calabria/Sicilia Provola Campania/Sicilia Provolone North Italy
Looking forward to trying them all.
