One of the nicest walking days of the pilgrimageand two of the best towns; San Gimignano and Monteriggioni.

San Gimignano is one of the most beautiful beautiful towns on the Via Francigena!

And there is something endearing about the small medieval walled fortress village of Monteriggioni.

Winter white truffles are just coming into season. The tagliolini with white truffles and a glass of Chianti Reserva made for a great dinner!
