Final stretch is historical route which closes with another forest walk and then a 2k stretch on a road into Marac where Mika was welcomed by some friendly locals.

The hospitality we received from the kind and friendly host Elisabeth was over the top.

Mika with Elisabeth

She provided cold drinks, tea and 3 wonderful meals in her cozy home. And great conversation. I normally don’t post pictures of an entire meal but this is a good example of a wonderful 4 course French country supper.

She also helped us with reservations ahead for two days. A real friend of the pilgrims. We walked to the local church.

Elisabeth took us with key to old castle tower, an abode for 3,000 pigeons to lay eggs in medieval times.
